We’re full swing in the middle of summer, and for many of us, this is vacation time. What better time to talk about how to recharge your batteries and feel renewed?
With our modern lifestyle we’re very good at running down the batteries. We live in the age of our nervous system–it’s always stimulated.
Most of us are constantly plugged in to our various gadgets–smart phones, laptops, TV, Facebook, etc. Even when we take a vacation, how often do we just do what we normally do, with the only difference being that we’re somewhere else?
While all these gadgets can be useful and even fun, they can easily disconnect us from ourselves. It’s become normal to be disconnected: we listen so much to external sources and they pull us out of ourselves.
As I’ve said before, any time you can interrupt stress you’re giving your nervous system a break. When we give our system time to relax, it finally gets a chance to reset itself.

So what’s a simple way to reconnect to who you truly are? Reiki.
